We meet at 08:30 at the Monument to the Welsh Woman (in the center), where we will depart to El Pedral, a wildlife refuge part of the UNESCO biosphere reserve.
After a 70km stretch through which you can observe some native species, we arrive at the destination where we will carry out the following activities:
- Visit to the lighthouse: At 15 minutes from the estancia, on the top of the cliff at the southern end of the Golfo Nuevo, is the Punta Ninfas lighthouse. Valuable reference for navigators entering the Golfo Nuevo, also fulfills its task of monitoring the arrival of the first whales during the days of May.
- Guided walk between Magellanic penguins: Each year in September, a growing colony of friendly Magellanic penguins settles in El Pedral. A guided walk among its nests will enable you to know better these curious animals.
- Patagonian Lunch: after visiting the Punta Ninfas lighthouse and the penguin colony of Magallanes, we return to the estancia’s hut for lunch (empanadas, Patagonian lamb, variety of salads, dessert and drinks).
